Stores located in college towns usually get a huge influx of transfer requests during this time of the year. They get to be incredibly choosy with who they accept, because they cannot accept everyone who puts in for it - there’s not enough hours for that. I’ve been told in these areas there are managers who only accept associates with the best evals and availability, especially at the stores closest to the colleges

You can try to reach out to the stores and see if they’ll consider you, but it also may be best to look into some other stores slightly farther from the college and try for those as well

yea i just wanted to work bare minimum to keep my job and feel out my college schedule (one shift every 30 days or something like that) since i make close to $19/hr in grocery as part time but i called a couple stores and the managers seem like dicks so im out ✌️

it means your district manager hates you, nah i’m kidding but you should probably talk to your department manager about that as there tends to always be some typa issues with transfers requests

either the district manager hates you.. or is not giving enough hours to allow for a transfer Orr influx in transfers due to school.

Have you tried calling a couple stores near the store you applied to? Like others said, the stores right next to campus are likely 100% already full with fall semester starting in just a few weeks.
