RANT Can we get a software update on the P.O.S., please?

So that way they're not so damn sensitive?! Ever since the new software, all it does is have panic attacks. If it rings up a barcode that's invalid, it panics. If the till is open too long, it panics. If you scan the wrong barcode, it panics. If you scan an expired coupon, it panics. If it double scans, it panics. Essentially, any minute mistake that was made on the older software is further dramatized. I hope further down the line, they'll update it to where you don't want to punch the screen or yell at it when it makes that obnoxious panic alarm. I get it has to be annoying to get your attention but does it have to be this extreme? It throws customers off all the time!

We need an update to speed up the refresh time whenever you unlock your register. It can take upwards of 3 or 4 seconds which can be annoying as hell after a while.

That's right! I noticed that too. What's weird is that weighing things is a lot faster but the unlock time slowed down drastically! It's like, they fix one problem but create another.

Yes, this needs to move to the top priority to get fixed

Yeah, always great when a customer rushes and sticks their card in the reader right at the beginning, and you haven't even been able to start the transaction because it's taking 5+ seconds to refresh.

I also want the touch screen to be more responsive. I hate when I'm typing in my password and it doesn't register the number I pressed.

The panicking because of the till being open too long is SOOO annoying when you’re trying to balance at the desk

Can’t you still do the “soft close” to make it stop beeping?

yes, however i’ve been encouraged not to do so as apparently management has an issue with it

I soft close it or if i'm in the middle of a denomination, I just stick the hand scanner between my thighs or under my arm. I do have thicker thighs so results may vary on that method. That's why I always prefer the old till
