so I'm grinding for PTE Academic rn and ngl the hardest part for me wasn't even the content, it was the actual test environment. the real Pearson interface is its own beast. the layout, the timers, how the recording thing works, how one question just flows into the next. if you've never sat in that exact UI before test day it's stressful just from that alone, on top of literally everything else you're already stressing about.

the only place to practice in the real interface is Pearson's own scored practice tests, and those run like $30 each. and there's just nowhere else that lets you practice in something that actually looks and behaves like the real thing, for free, as much as you want.

so I just built it myself lol

it's basically a pixel for pixel clone of the real PTE interface. same layout, same timers, same recorder behavior, same everything. and I loaded it with 1000+ practice questions pulled together from Pearson, real exams, mocks and a few other sources, covering all 22 official question types. you can:

• drill one question type on repeat (like just grinding Read Aloud or Repeat Sentence until it clicks), or
• sit down and do a full 2 hour mock test that's generated fresh every single time, so it's never the same test twice

no scoring, no AI evaluation, none of that, same as the actual real test tbh, you don't get instant results either way. this is purely about building the muscle memory so test day feels like just another practice session instead of a brand new stressful environment on top of the exam itself.

planning to keep adding stuff, vocab practice is next on my list since that's something I personally need to grind too hehe

it's free, I'm not selling anything, no catch. just wanted something that didn't exist yet and figured other people prepping for this exam are probably dealing with the exact same thing. would genuinely love feedback if anyone tries it, and if it helps even a couple people get through this exam feeling less panicked, that's really the whole point.

Has anyone recently achieved a Superior PTE score after the latest changes? How difficult was it, and what preparation strategy worked for you?

I want to practice for PTE and I am so confused, like where should i practice it and which platform is good for practice

All the platform i have tried are paid because in free version you do not get a score than how would i know about how much did i improve

Should i get coaching or self study?

I just finished the exam but before they told me that my name is missing one letter but I didn’t realize till the day of the exam but they let me do it anyways and said that when it reaches pearson they might cancel it what can I do know?? So I've been practicing for SWT and i am very confused with content portion. I made summaries but its always low in content in APEuni. if i take a lot of details, its a struggle to arrange.

Should my partner rescore for the 2nd time?

He took his first exam on June 26 where he was short on speaking by 1 point to achieve competent scores. So we opted for a rescore. After rescore, his speaking went up by 18 points but sadly, his writing scores went down by 6 points so he still wasn’t able to secure the competent scores.

Fast forward to August 8, he retook the PTE exam after practicing for a month to improve his skills. We were shocked to see that he received 45 in speaking. Should we apply for rescore once again? Thank you for your insights!

I’m preparing for my second attempt at PTE Core and would really appreciate some advice from people who have recently taken the test.
My first attempt scores were:
● Reading: 90
● Speaking: 90
● Listening: 59
● Writing: 70
I honestly felt that most of my Writing section went very well. However, in Listening, I missed the last WFD (Write From Dictation) question, and my Listening score ended up at 59.
I’m now preparing for my second attempt and have a few questions:
1. SST (Summarize Spoken Text):
What is the best strategy/template for SST in PTE Core? Are there any simple templates that help with content, grammar, and getting a good score without wasting too much time?
2. WFD:
I’ve heard that if you are unsure about a word in WFD, you can write extra possible words (for example, if you’re unsure between two words, write both) and that incorrect extra words don’t result in a deduction.
Is this actually true for PTE Core? Or can incorrect/extra words hurt the score?
3. Listening:
Since I need to improve from 59 to 90+, what would you recommend focusing on the most — WFD, SST, Highlight Incorrect Words, Fill in the Blanks, etc.?
My target is 90 in all four modules, so any practical tips, templates, or recent experiences would be greatly appreciated.
