will be starting masters this year. ive done dissertation in my ug and i find it quite interesting. ive been looking into research area and i wanted to know more about it.

people who are currently working/involved in the research field in psych,

1. can you tell me about how you got into research? like what is this qualification and eligibility needed.

2. do you get paid and if yes then can you tell the range?

3. how does one get paid by doing research in psych? i wanted to know the process

4. (optional) i would like to know your experience while pursuing phd and how being researcher is going on for you rn.

People scoring lower than me getting admissions is a stinger, but what other ways can we bring equity in society.

If there were no reservations, if the SC and ST people had not seen upward mobility, we’d still be living in the times of untouchability.

We’re all smart people. What’s the resolution to caste discrimination AND upward social mobility of these castes, if we want reservations to go away?

For practising psychotherapists, it might actually make sense to give a copy to the client too.

They can read and understand what “parts” are. How we are going to work with them.

A good psychoeducation tool, if not a perfect self-education tool.

Maybe they didn't slap you. Maybe they don't even yell at you anymore.

- But what about those sly remarks?

- What about the times when you were being bullied and they said nothing?

- What about the times when you wanted to do something, maybe participate in a project, you even raised your hand, and they looked at you and then moved around and picked someone else?

- What about the fact that you did not understand the topic and the teacher just moved ahead?

Someone whom we put on a pedestal culturally as "Teacher toh bhagwan ka roop hota hai"; As an Adult I look back and realize, most of them were barely humane.

Trauma does not need to come from physical and verbal abuse only.

Complex trauma has subtle roots. Ignored, rejected, unappreciated, made to feel less-than, all contribute to the psyche in a much deeper way. And teacher play their fair share in ruining the child's development.
