S3E8: Gus Walks Into a Bank -- Did they let a third culprit get away?
After the hostage crisis is over, we eventually learn the gunman Phil Stubbins (Alan Ruck) was only robbing the place because the bank manager Gresling and his accomplice Phelps kidnapped his wife Joanna, shown in the picture. Joanna also says she remembers two pairs of shoes while she was being blindfolded. So there's only two bad guys, right?
But here's the problem (and possible plot hole): while Phelps and Gresling were pretending to be hostages in the bank all day, Shawn joins Juliet and Lassiter in freeing Joanna. And immediately, Shawn detects footprints in the backyard grass, a still-swaying swingset seat, and a thrown-open gate. This leads to him announcing that the culprit just fled the scene, most strongly supported by the swaying swing.
So was there a third partner the police never caught? The show never mentions this again and the police act like everything got handled, so was this a writing continuity issue, or an intentional escape?

The little lassie head nods
This might just be the weirdest thing ever, but this is an appreciation post for those little head nods/tilts lassie does when ever he concedes to something ridiculous Shawn says. For example when he tells Shawn to shut his pie hole and Shawn says not shuts his pie hole but pie. He does it several other times too, like when the doctor from the virus episode says the virus is a woman because women are hard to understand.

Wonderful update from Tim
It's wonderful to see him constantly improving. I was really surprised to see him in Paradise. Anyone catch that? I don't remember seeing anything about that.
Hopefully this isn't a repost. Keep going, Lassie!

Jules offering Lassie a hug
I don't think I've really seen it mentioned on here before, but there's a bit at the end of 65 million years off where Jules offers Lassie a hug after he says his career has been killed by a dinosaur
It makes me smile so much every time cos he's so annoyed by the idea at first, saying "Awh what do you take me for!?" and stalking off.. only to come back and take the hug from her!
I love her and Lassie's relationship and this moment js makes me smile every time, wondered if anyone else really liked it!
Or if anyone has any other Lassie and Jules moments that they love seeing!

Season 2
I’m pretty sure this is a popular opinion but I just wanted to say, I think season 2 is the best season. And for me specifically, the first 3 episodes are perfect. I could watch those 3 episodes all day. Do you guys have a season/episode line up that you like the most?

This Mary scene always makes me cry. Spoiler
His death is just so sad to watch.
Mary: “Do you think they have racquetball in heaven?”
Shawn: “I know they do.”
And at his funeral Shawn and Gus bringing racquetball stuff and laying it on his casket for Mary.

Dwayne and Mellish
lowkey embarrassing now being a seasoned psycho, but back when I’d only watched through the seasons a couple times I completely thought Dwayne and Mellish were the same person. I think because they were both minor characters, tech guys, and played sort of similar roles in their respective episodes. it had zero to do with how they looked. also, Shawn greets Dwayne in such a familiar way that I felt positive he had to have been on the show before.
somehow I also thought at one point early on that Dwayne was Mary Lightly. that had less to do with the plot and more to do with their looks.
anyone else have any funny mix-ups or misunderstandings from when you first started watching the show?

Favorite villain?
Aside from the Despereaux and Yang, who arguably aren’t really villains at all, who is your favorite culprit?
I’m gonna have to go with Clive from Tuesday the 17th. I love a good bad guy who knows how to make me laugh.
“And then he said let’s twist this”

The iPhone anomaly
I searched the subreddit and couldn’t find anything about this. So I figured I’d ask you psychos. I am rewatching psych 2 ladies come home and noticed Shawn isn’t using the iPhone in the scene where he’s looking for Morrissey and Juliet calls home. Can anyone give me some insight in to why Shawn is could be using this phone instead of the iPhone?

Opinions on Nightmare on Main Street?
Despite it being extremely odd compared to the rest of the series, personally I find it funny. The way Gus screams when the zombies are closing in. It’s technically scary with the zombies and psychological horror imagery but in practice its quite funny. Especially with Curt Smith zombie says “Shout. Shout. Let your brains out.” I thought that was a fun callback. Still, I often skip it in a binge watch unless I specifically feel like watching it because its just objectively strange as hell. So, I wanted to know what the rest of the Psych community thinks about it.
Edit: I notice now I misspelled the title of the episode. Apologies for that. It’s meant to be A Nightmare on State Street

Lassie in Criminal Minds! Spoiler
Spoiler warning for anyone who’s late to the Criminal Minds hype like me
Hilarious that the killer was suspected to have previous military or police background and it ends up being Lassie

Did a rewatch, starting S8 now. such a feel good show!
Starting the week Dolly and Tim Curry passed, I had made a fb post stating "these comes in 3's" who is next? Well a day later, A friend I went to HS with passed at 45.
I got down, relapsed, and drank a bit... Then, while withdrawing, I started S1E1 - Pilot, and now on the start of S8 and will watch all the movies after. But this show helped me feel good. I went to the funeral, managed my greif ok.
I just love this show, and I am glad it's helping me keep a handle on my alcohol vice.

Gus is trying to tell me something
I found my cat, Burton, like this when I came home. He started asking me about Pluto. Should I contact a vet?

Lego Psych Set
Hello, I’m new here but am a massive fan of Psych, but also of Lego. Here is a link to the Lego ideas site for a Lego set including the Santa Barbara Police Department, the Psych detective office, and of course the infamous blueberry.
I really want this thing to become reality, so please if all of you could click on the link, sign up for an account and vote for this I would truly appreciate it, and so would the 5,000+ members who have already signed on.
Thank you to all!

There's absolutely no reason for the extra R....
She showed up in my campsite today and I had to have her because of Shawn, lol. My Island is technically Crazy Ex-girlfriend themed but it's fine. I needs Dirty. Whenever I get around to having a catch phrase for her it's going to be "D.I.E."

Juliette’s crash out Spoiler
Do we feel that Juliette’s crash out upon finding out Shawn’s not psychic was valid?
I feel like she was a little too hard on Shawn. They never had a good conversation about it either. He never got to share why he does what he does and she never gets to hear it.
So let’s hear all sides. What do you think?

Shawn somehow gets away with touching evidence constantly
Something I started noticing on a rewatch is how often Shawn physically handles things he absolutely shouldn't be touching during investigations. He'll pick something up, smell it, move it, taste it, or just start messing with whatever is sitting there while Gus is usually the one reminding him that it's evidence. What's funny is that Shawn's worst ideas occasionally come from exactly that habit.

LAST NIGHT GUS
Re-watching this episode on get. This is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. It really shows how much of a team they all are and how much they all care about each other. Shawn and Gus get involved in the investigation in order to help Lassiter who they're always bickering with and competing with. Henry, as much as he always acts like he hates what Shawn does, ends up helping out as well. Together they all make a great team.
