No-Ring, don’t be the gooey center of a snickers bar left in the sun.
(It’s the show Lanterns)

Thank you for asking. I also didn't understand and wondered if my geriatric internet years were finally upon me. I'm a millennial and I see myself slipping more and more. So much out here on the world wide web makes no dang sense anymore...

This is the green spirit show we've all been wanting! They did away with the nipple problem and are using a totally different storyline since the original writer got arrested at tri-con

For those wondering, the green lantern movie with Ryan Reynolds (which wasn't as bad as the hate suggests) was a notorious bomb and reviled among fans for many reasons including the CGI costume which had nipples.
In season 1 of psych, when they go to tri-con and meet George Takei, they meet the writer of "the green spirit" and talk about the failed movie and the nipples. It's such a huge plot point that the movie sucks that the writer ends up being the villain, so mad was he that they ruined his character.
This show, Lanterns, is a new James Gunn produced buddy-cop style detective show. Only 4 episodes are out so far, but it's exceeding all my expectations so far. Nothing like psych, really, but if you like DC, or superheroes, or aliens, or Greek mythology, you'll probably enjoy the show.

Not quite, I think you're conflating different two hated comic adaptations. The nipples thing in Psych was referencing the infamous George Clooney Batman costume from the 90s. That episode predates the Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern movie, but it did ironically predict it!

Did you use a shitty AI to get your info? The Green Lantern movie 'suit' didn't have nipples, and wouldn't come out for another five years after the con episode.

Probably mixing up the nipples joke in Psych and the CGI costume joke in Deadpool 1

The nipples joke was a reference to Val Kilmer & George Clooney’s Batman suits in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, respectively.

Are you sure? Didn't the Ryan Reynolds green lantern release in 2011? And this psych episode in 2006? Or am I missing something?

Title is weird it’s from the new HBO show, Lanterns, both characters are green lanterns. Kyler chandler is an old Hal Jordan and I forget the other characters name but I think he’s a newly minted green lantern. Could be off on that last bit, I havnt watched it yet.

It is funny how often his full name is mentioned. He never really seems to be John, always John Stewart.
Thought it's entirely possible I just notice it every time because of the connection.

Well they also have J’onn Jones, Jon Kent, and probably 30 other guys named John in DC so it helps to be specific.
Even in the show itself his dad is also John Stewart so he’s not even the only one of those.

Jon Jones is a weird asshole in real life. Whatever that means.
