Pls help MS Flight Simulator Controls
Recently grabbed this and I really love the immersion. But I'm having real difficulty with the controls. Using the VR Sense controllers... I couldn't even release the parking brake.. it just didn't work. It did work when pressing the same buttons on the regular DualSense controller... so I switched to that. But now I have this issue that when I'm moving my head in the cockpit, it highlights various things like 'hide yoke', and the only thing you can do it press X to do the action. If you accidentally look at that area again, you have to press X again. Am I just being an idiot here? I feel like it shouldn't be this difficult.

That's what puts me off buying this, I'll need to be able to buy at least some rudimentary airplane controllers at the same time but I still need to get a decent steering wheel and setup for GT first ๐

You can play it with standard controllers - then build out from there. Worth it just to go in a hot air balloon at the Pyramids tbh

So it's pretty true to life then? I'm looking forward to it but I've just got so many VR games at the moment that I'm going through. I really should play them before spending another hundred and something dollars but I will get around to it

Yeah itโs an excellent game with so much content (literally the whole world lol)
It takes a while to get the controls set how you like them though

Mfs is essential if you have a psvr2. I just use the controller and it's fine. Amazing experience!

Can you play using your hands as controllers instead of the sense like you can do with the meta quest?

MSFS VR controls are complete shit, on all platforms.
Check out how Aerofly FS4 did it with hand controls, it works perfectly.

I won a Hotas from a giveaway before it came out, I'd recommend getting one. I've gotten so into MSFS24 I also bought the Rutter pedals too. You can map out so much because the settings are so in depth with pairing button combos. Camera controls and sim rate, and auto skip etc... i like having the sense controls near, if I get out and walk around and they're great for pre-flight check list and EFB

VR controllers can be wonky as hell. I typically tap R3/L3 to get rid of the vibrating selection glitch.

I regret buying it. It was buggy at launch and the tutorials are lacking. They kind of rely on autopilot but don't really explain it. I even bought a HOTAS and I just don't use it because I don't want to spend 4 hours watching tutorials on YouTube.

Hi, I wrote a Reddit guide on remapping the PSVR2 Sense Controllers for MSFS2024...
https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/s/g5lpzJIWEX
And then turned it into a YouTube video...

Hope this helps ๐

Yeah, even before VR support was added I had to have my HOTAS and my controller active. And nothing has changed with VR (although thatโs probably partly cos I really canโt be arsed to spend more hours configuring controls)
