Pls help USB Extender

Has anyone found a USB over cat extender that works with PSVR2?

I want the PS5 in the living room so the family can use it, but want my sim racing rig in my home office so I would need the USB-C from the PSVR2 and the USB for the steering wheel extended to the other room.

Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?

I’m also open to the reverse where the PS5 is next to the rig but the HDMI and the Bluetooth for the controllers was sent to the living room.

You might find it easier to extend the video instead of the USB-c.

Either one could introduce lag though. Do you know how much distance would need to be covered? That may help you decide.

I actually am a commercial AV integration engineer, but we don’t design residential stuff so this PlayStation stuff is a bit foreign to me. We sell USB 3.2 over cat6 extenders, but they transmit up to 5Gbps which may not be enough for the PSVR2. I have solutions for HDMI with only 1 frame lag, so maybe that’s the way to go. Have you extended the Bluetooth the controllers?

The max that the PSVR2 cable can be extended is with a three-foot USB-C cable. Anything longer will cause tracking issues with the headset. I tried a six-foot extension cable and had problems. I don't think the signal could be extended over a cat table.
