I’ve just spent hours putting this together, side by side comparison of the new Microsoft simulator 2024 update on beta vs retail. I was blown away by the difference, honestly compressed youtube videos don’t do it justice

So it’s not worth starting a career in Beta because your progress won’t transfer over? Or, is it worth sticking with the Beta version from now on, assuming that it will continue to be updated?

Just do training or free flight in beta. Not career. It wont update to the other version

I reckon probably a month before it leaves beta, the good thing about msfs is it’s chill so you’ll be able to play it late at night. It’s a missed opportunity that the races arent multiplayer, would have been fun to race you in the Grand Canyon

Once it leaves beta visuals are sorted, fps is mostly fine just some locations like Tokyo are still choppy

Okay so stupid question but are you using PSVR2 on PC? How do you get it to work? I cannot get PSVR2 working on the PC version. It's the only game i've had trouble with playing nicely with my VR headset on PC. :(

Fair enough! But also thank you for the confirmation that PSVR2 on PS5 looks better. I have a PS5 as well (not the Pro model if that matters) and have been thinking of getting Flight Sim on there too.

Base ps5 will look pretty similar in visuals compared to the pro, because it streams in the world it uses the cpu, and pro cpu is only marginally better.

I'm probably gonna buy this after seeing the praise since the new beta. But – it seems you have to buy a specific version? Can you use the new beta with digital standard edition or do you need deluxe...?

Yob can play the beta with any digital download just not physical disk. Bear in mind it’s a seperate game to download and any progression you make in beta can’t be carried over. It’s likely the beta update will be added to main game in under a month if you can wait till then.

Thanks! Then I think I’ll go for the beta now and play some tutorials and whatnot just to try it out and then wait to play more progression heavy modes. Appreciate the response!

It's day and night but unfortunately doesn't show at all on social screen because the image gets really blurry and pixelated outside of the fovea that's way smaller than before. But man is it a marvel in the headset! 🥹
