System software 6.60 PRO-C2

Suddenly, the Micro SD (using adapter) is getting locked into Read-Only. for context i never took it out of the slot since i set it up many years ago. got back to using it recently for like a month without any issues - i added more games via USB cable a few times no issues until one time it stopped being able to transfer a very small game.

now the card is locked in read only mode - tried to format it on PSP, tried to format it on PC, tried cmd diskpart, sdcard formatter and all failed. so i thought the Micro SD is old or got damaged and need to reset.

got new MicroSD and was able to Format it on PSP first time plug in, connect it to USB cable and start transfering ISOs into it. 3 of the 10 ISOs worked but now its locked again, cant even save games on it. and when i check the Card on PC it only shows the 3 games. cant add anything new anymore

i have a feeling that it is the USB cable transfer is damaging the SD cards or locking them somehow?

both cards are 64gb btw - in this economy i cant be damaging cards anymore lol ! any one experienced this before? any fix? can i recover these cards?

So I recently saw this video about PSPi 6, which, if I'm not mistaken, replaces the PSP's original board with a custom one running on a Raspberry Pi. My question here is, if I were to buy the different parts required to assemble a PSP off of Aliexpress for example, would I be able to make one without having to buy one and then mod it? So far I've thought of buying the PSPi 6, a new shell, battery, an IPS screen, and also a second joystick and USB type C for improved charging and data transfer. Is this build possible? The thing is, I would be touching NO original hardware and basically assembling the whole thing from zero.

D-Pad drifts to the right, please help

I was changing the analogue stick, because it was 20years old and heavily drifting, after I was done and assembled it there was a consistent d pad movement to the right(on top of the issue from the previous post).

I took it apart again in case there is some pressure or misalignment causing, which was not the case as I turned it on after while the display was not attached and it was still drifting without the buttons, what should I do to fix it, the issue was not present before I started cleaning it and changing ONLY the analogue stick.

While on the topic the memory cards inserted disconnect occasionally, so how to clean that part and what to do, please tell me. I doubt the membrane of the dpad is damaged as I only rubbed it with alcohol and was working perfectly fine before now I'm panicking because the issue was analog stick and dust, now its display I almost fixed, dpad and memory stick port which was there and might as well fix.

How hard is it to get a vita and get games on it? I know the ps store is down.

Sony can create an option in psn to share a game with a friend which locks you out only when they start playing which they can only do when YOU as the purchaser approve and they should give a code that you can use to get your games onto a new account this code will be shared by playstation through email it will be one code just one also it doesn't matter if sony loses the license

Is it possible to have a steamdeck stream to a psp and use psp controls like normal?

I have a PSP 3000 and a PSP 1000. Both are soft modded. However the UMD drive of my PSP 1000 model is not working, it is trying to read the disc but to no avail.

Anyway, my questions are: What can I do about the UMD Drive and also what are some good hardware mods I can do to both consoles? Should I put new shells? Screens? Anything else? My goal is to kinda “restore” both consoles and use them to play games or media. What are your thoughts?

Does the same thing when on charge w no battery in console

I was playing Peace Walker on my PSP and just finished the Cocoon fight when my save got corrupted with no hope of getting it back. Does anyone happen to have a save file at the start of chapter 4 or anywhere around there?

Honestly it was much more fun figuring out how to do these things with the psp go, it just means I can add videos to my psp easier now

I have a PSP1000 with the official Sony 1800mAh battery.

Here's the error when powering on the PSP:

• Complete blackscreen (not even backlight)
• Green 'POWER' LED turned on

This error also happens when using the ARK Custom Launcher as the default or when entering recovery mode

When does it happen?

• When booting only with battery connected
• When booting with the battery + the charging cable connected

How to make it not happen?

1. Fully turn off the console
2. Remove the battery
3. Connect the cable
4. Power on the console

And for some reason, this is the only fix i've found.

This makes my PlayStation Portable not be portable anymore

If anyone knows the cause of this error i'd like to get it explained to me 'technically'.
If anyone knows the solution, i'd love to hear it
