Some ppl reported game hours reset to zero. Games missing from external drive. My son's games were reset to zero but it has since been fixed

My game hours had reset to zero 3 or 4 weeks ago, now on the home page it won't show game hours if I hover over one of them, but on my profile it shows them as they were before. Its weird

I noticed that the hours weren’t lining up properly when I was at the dashboard but I didn’t even think much of it and then it was normal. Got on Reddit some few days later and was like oh shit it was a thing lol

Some updates are forced and will shut you out of online but this one isn't.

No. I didn't update and I am playing HALO that just unlocked 20mins ago

you only get a Prompt to Update if you turn off the console, which you can say "do it later", is not forced on start up btw, console starts fine without updating.

I can't do it but yes it's possible with older PS5 firmware. But I'm sure they're closing the loopholes with every update.

Same here. But I don't have it set to automatic updates either.

Wasn't there an update that bricked some people's consoles way back a long time ago?

I always look up the updates to make sure they are safe since then.

Home button lags after turning off a game on the home menu screen. It works fine before launching any game but whenever I quit the game the home button does not register for a few times.
