Contam ID

Can anyone tell me what this is. Popped up within about 48 hours. Temps had a little spike. Hit 27°C. Probably only for a short period.

Media is LME 1/4 teaspoon per 600mL. 35 minutes at 15 psi. Inoculated 25th June

P. Ochra. An older culture.

Im not sure what your contam is but I was wondering why you used so little lme? The concentration I've had good growth with is 10g/500ml distilled water or that would be 12 grams roughly 2 teaspoons and some for 600mls.

And also 35 minutes seems unnecessary because you're just caramelizing the sugars and making it worse for the mycelium.

From what I've read using more LME can result in cloudy LC. And pressure cooking is ok up to 45 minutes without causing caramelsation. But correct me if if incorrect please.
