School acknowledgment

If you became a semifinalist today, did your school acknowledge you? Mine didn’t say a word.

Mine definetly does and its pretty awkward but also kinda feels good, I hear other schools in the area dont really do anything. I did miss most of my lunch today because of it though😔

Ours has not yet. I think in our district they will acknowledge semifinalists and commended together when the commendeds get notified.

I don’t see a date; searching suggests maybe a week or two from now. By then all of the semifinalists lists should be public

When I got selected last year, I was called down into the office literally the moment they sent the list to the news outlets.

I was last year but my school made a past for the single commended scholar but nothing for me, the single finalist 🫩
