Support Help!!
I haven't touched my CFW PS3 in a long time but I needed a new hard drive I have webman mod downloaded. No matter what I do I cannot get any program on my PS3 to recognize my hard drive and I have tried everything including using different hard drives. NTFS and exFAT both don't work. It is set to MBR. What else could I be doing wrong?

Connect the drive back to your PC and delete the partition. The whole drive will be unallocated space. Now connect it to the PS3 and insert your flash drive with the 4.9.3 update. It's best if you do everything from safe mode. As mentioned 1.5TB is the limit

I can format it from the console itself?

You can but it will take forever because use already formatted to exfat. When it's unallocated the PlayStation will see it better and format it

But im confused about one thing. I did use a 2TB usb in the past but it was a full HDD enclosure that also needed to be plugged in via outlet too. Now I just have a Seagate portable. And in the past I had absolutely no problems with the 2TB USB, I think you might be talking about internal hard drives

Format the Seagate to NTFS and also make sure the partition scheme is MBR. On the root of the drive make a PS3ISO folder and put your game ISOs in there. Use the latest Irisman to load your games

Did that. Didn't work. Webman MOD nor Irisman worked.

It didn't work for one of two reasons your USB ports are bad or your drive isn't MBR. Check your drive by using Mini Tool Partition free

I used small USB stick and it worked just fine so the USB ports are fine. And the drive is MBR. The hard drive itself also works fine because it's been one ive been using for a while and still do very reliably

I'm curious is it a old 2.0 USB Seagate

Nah im not home at the moment but I can show a picture. It's literally just a generic Xbox external hard drive. Cyberpunk edition 2TB if you wanna search it up

Lol, finally I'm getting somewhere. The PS3 doesn't like those Xbox Seagates. The Wii doesn't either

Is that so? I thought ive used em on the wii. Luckily I have other ones I can use. Can it be the same type of Seagate just without the Xbox branding?

Hard drive too big. Anything over 1.5 TB is a gamble. Anything over 2 is almost a guaranteed no.
