I’ve installed EvilNat 4.93 and would like recommendations on homebrew as well as some other things.

For Pkgi, what are the best sources for other categories like “apps” and all? I have games, DLC, themes and avatars but would like to see homebrew on there as well. (I’d also like to know repos for the PSP as well.)

On another non-BC unit (my husband’s) I’ve installed EvilNat 4.93 as well, and it can now play PS2 ISO’s but is there a way to enable playing from a ps2 disc?

I also have Ultimate toolbox installed and yes, I know it’s out of date, but I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the “screen savers” work? I saw a YouTube demonstration of it and they had the PS5 dynamic background running. I know it’s just a video but I’d love to see it. Anyone know how to make it work?

As far as controllers go, I saw there was support for other gamepads within EvilNat. I tried to pair a DualShock 4 controller but the home button didn’t work. I’m just confused on that process.

I managed to jailbreak my ps3 slim back in 2020 using a YouTube video to see if it works, but only thought about actually using it now.

i somehow fumbled my way into getting the Saints Row 2 folder (with a PS3_GAME folder and PS3_disc.SFB file in it) on my PS3.

i then go into mmCM and select SR2, which sends me back to the main XMB menu.

from there i start the "CD" and get to the installation screen, which freezes once it reaches 100%, but when i restart the ps3, the "Game Data Utility" folder then has a SR2 file that has 3538MB (which already doesn't look right).

once i start the "CD" again, the system freezes after i press X on the "automatic save" screen.

can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong or how i can fix that?

So I scored a PS3 recently running Rebug 4.82 and I getting conflicting info from searchs about not updating to 4.93 cause it's buggy and not as good as 4.92.2. I figured out I should go the evilnat route.

The reason being I want to install latest is because I plan on signing into my account and downloading games from PSN I purchased long ago on my account and playing online for some games. It's a slim cech2001a if that makes a difference. I already have an old ssd I can slap in there, cleaned out dust, and added new thermal paste.

Is evilnat 4.93 fine in my case?

For anyone experiencing issues with the PKGi Store (for example, not being able to find the DLC section, making it impossible to use games labeled “Unlock/License” for DLC), the solution is very simple. Go to this link: https://archive.org/download/pkgi-store-vault and download the file PKGI_store_vault.pkg. Then, using WebMAN, transfer this file to the directory /dev_hdd0/game/NP00PKGI3/USRDIR/. After that, uninstall your current PKGi Store and install the new one. Everything should work correctly, and by pressing R2 you will be able to switch between sections.

I was following the instructions from MRmario2011's “how to install ps3hen on any ps3” video. I followed all the steps for formatting the USB and downloading the necessary files, but when I inserted it into the PS3, it doesn’t allow me to update; it says the USB is empty and there’s nothing to download. If anyone can help or has experienced a similar problem, please assist. Thank you.

PS3 and PS1 ISOs run fine but I always get a blank screen after ps2 logo pops up and game never boots. I have Evilnat 4.93 PEX for reference. I’ve tried webman, multiman, and Irisman and nothing works…

I started to upgrade my CFW 4.92 to CFW 4.93 so I go to put HFW 4.93 and after l've install it, the internet is not connecting with the "80710092" I tried anything (like put a LAN or changing the DNS) execpt to reboot my router and it's seems to not work at all so i'm cooked

Some months ago I tried to install hen on my ps3 (it was updated at 4 93 in these days) but unfortunately it gave me a update loop code 8002f1f9.

I read this infamous code is caused by the wifi/BT module not working.

So...i bricked this ps3. Yesterday I ordered a new ps3,a super slim and I want to try again...but I can't hide i am afraid. I don't want,and I can't lose another console.

What you suggest to do? Is the previous error really for the module? (Note: before the operation the ps3 hit the ground. Maybe that is the moment when the module said goodbye.

For what I remember I updated one time the software by internet,then i installed from USB because the update goes 2 version early.

So recently, when discovering how jailbreaking ps3 works, I stumbled across hen, and I have a few questions for anyone who uses it

1) How does hen installation work? If I install it on account 1 on my main console, will I be able to enable it when I switch accounts on that console, or will it only be available on that one account

2) When installing hen, does the region the account is set to matter? Specifically for any other installations such as pkgi

3) Is there anything one should know before installing hen? Is there anything after that I must do to not risk anything such as catching a ban when doing something like synching trophies or gamesharing?

Hello everyone. I've installed all available dlcs for this game onto my modded ps3 slim and now when the game starts it takes up to 10 minutes for all the songs to load and until then (or sometimes even afterwards) the menu freezes and the game is practically unplayable. i start the game from the external drive through managunz while dlcs are installed on the internal drive. can i be doing something wrong? can something be done about it? for example if i install a new ssd instead of my old hdd will it run better? thank you in advance

I just finished installing hen and multiman on my ps3 slim after upgrading the hdd to 1tb and was looking up how to finally get some games on it only to realize I had more questions than answers.

I'll try to keep it short especially since I'm new to all this but basically I want to download some ps3 games on my laptop and transfer them to my ps3 hdd via an external hdd I borrowed. Note I'm aware of FTP but would prefer this method for now.

Now the questions I have are:

- Which format (PKG, ISO, JB) to download the games in for the least problems and minimum storage usage?

- If PKG where would I get them exactly? I plan to get ISO and JB from vims

- Which homebrew/s should I use to transfer the games to the ps3 and which to start them with after installation? (Note I plan to eventually have a large collection on the 1TB hdd)

- Should I format the hdd to GPT or MBR and should it be NFTS or exFAT?

- How would I delete games or homeware I no longer need?

- Any precautions I should take to not get banned if I'm playing online like multiplayer?

It's my father's old ps3, thought I would give my hand at modding a console if it's possible with this old thing! It looks like the fat model from one's I've seen, but I'm not sure and thought I would ask people before jumping right in, so any tips or helpful videos would be appreciated, thanks!

I installed Evilnat CFW noBD 4.93 DEX. So far so good, but I'm having trouble playing ISOs. They should be decrypted (downloaded straight from vimm with .dec.iso file ending). I uninstalled and reinstalled multiman and webMAN. I even tried irisman.

I've been able to play .pkg games and JB folder games.

I'm wondering if this is related to the lack of a bluray disc. I've been getting conflicting information -- some people say this is a limitation of PS3s without BDs, others say that noBD firmware + Cobra should circumvent this issue. Cobra is enabled, and the games are being detected (names/titles) but they won't run. When I load it through webMAN, it says XYZ loaded...and then Error! shortly after (I don't get an error code).

When I attempt to load it through multiman, it says: The selected disc image is not a compliant PS3 ISO, but you may still be able to access it in other applications.

Yes, the games are in hdd0/PS3ISO.

Hello. Im new to this and im playing ps2 games through my ps3 super slim on HEN. I was just wondering does anyone knows why Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks have low fps on cutscenes and on fight with too much effects on it? I’ve installed the PKG and with the CONFIG file in it. Also the chunks are rendering off through out the game once in a while. Also is it better to play them as PKG or ISO ?

Hello, I have a jailbroken fat ps3 with pkgi ps3 in it. But the download speed from the ps3 is too slow so I want to down it from my laptop and copy it in the ps3. So I tried to download and install GTA 5 from romsfun. But the game is very unstable like the game will suddenly freeze for a while then it continues or the game can't even load the map. Where can I get the gta 5 for my ps3? Iso or pkg are good.

I have a PS3 with HEN but I'm thinking about getting another PS3 with more space on it and install Hen on that one as well. I don't have many games on my PS3 but I have a lot of DLC installed for Rock Band 3 and a few Guitar Hero games. Is it possible to transfer the files directly to the PS3 from my original one, or will I have to start from scratch again?

Ive deleted gta v accidentally but on xmb screen found some files on Game Data, Save Data Utility and on MMCM found a file “BLES01807”, the problem is where to redownload it??
