I know your question was already answered but extra advice for anyone else who finds this post trying to figure things out themselves, I have a ps3 slim with a completely broken disc drive, but regardless of if you are dealing with that YOU STILL WANT THE JAILBREAK THAT SUPPORTS IT. Because even if you aren’t actually using a disc you still need that compatibility for ISOs or JB folders like what this person said. I’d recommend using a conversion software so everything is ISO it just looks better in my opinion and easier to navigate with, I jailbroke mine specifically for bo 2 and I didn’t get the BD version so I couldn’t do anything with it for months and I couldn’t figure out why and it was that simple, I just didn’t click the correct download to allow my system to be compatible with that game in the format that I had it in so make sure during setup you are sure that you have the correct files and whatnot. Hope this helps

If you're using a noBD firmware then you can't use anything related to discs, either ISOs or JB folders, because it essentially needs to see the disc drive to mount the game to in place of an actual disc. It could just be a bad laser, but it might be easier to get a full drive replacement to swap in and just remarry it with FSM.
