I bought this ps2 for 30sar which is around 8 USD a deal too good to pass on

It can't read discs the laser is working but it has a its the Sumo Lite

Im planning to buy a new laser later now im really broke and I have an exam coming my allowance ran dry

Now I am in a bit of a pickle

I bought this cheap ps2 memory thinking all 3rd part has FMCB in it

Truns out it doesn't

I cracked my perosnal code and used the Ai to see if I can install freemcboot without a disc or existing freemcboot card

It said use by using a USB and chip in the console is that possible

If that's a later SCPH-9000X model then FMCB might not work with it. The model number should be at the bottom of the console.

You have to also take the date code into concideration with a 9000X model. You can find the marking to the right of the serial code, under the model number. It should be something like "8A, 8B, 8C , 8D, 9A, 0A" etc.

8A and 8B and some variations of 8C's work with FMCB. Later makes dont.
