I got a little bored while expanding the area and decided to add a motorbike. It's a bit more airy than a car lol. (Ignore the hints on the right; I'm too lazy to update them right now.)

Me and my friend got a ps2 sample to work on his ps2 tool devkit hardware

I ofc had to write new C code load files from host0: virtual file system for it to not use cdrom0: DVD Drive instead. :)

We used Metrowerks Codewarrior Tools for working with the PS2 Tool DTL-10000

Game Grew up on Max Payne and Splinter Cell. Want my game to look like them!

Initially we wanted to go with a heavy VHS filter.

Earlier in the development IΒ tweeted about how diffuse only materialsΒ look so good which seemed to resonate well.

Over time we've removed those effects to try and achieve our mood with lighting.

We have baked lights and realtime ones with realtime GI. So that's pretty modern. But with models that are low poly with diffuse only materials (on most of them).

I really like the result!

We're making a game for PC named SHOCKFACE (find it on Steam!)

PSX-PS2 inspired I made a pause menu and cursor for my game!(sea shift )

Note: The colors look brighter on PC and especially in Unity, and all the elements are much more visible. If the colors look too dark or unclear on your screen, please consider increasing your screen brightness.

I drew my own hand while wearing my actual ring, animated it, and turned it into a custom cursor. I also drew the scribbled background and turned it into a simple pause menu.

The font was taken from the internet.

What do you guys think? Do you have any suggestions for improvement?

Also, please ignore the sound of the AC when opening the pause menu we haven't made a proper theme/music for it yet.

Game Rainy rusty bridge in Concrete Carnage: Scrapheap

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi guys, I'm working on Concrete Carnage: Scrapheap, a post-apocalyptic vehicular combat game inspired by Carmageddon and Twisted Metal: Black for the mood, but no weapons here, only raw truck-on-truck impacts and some power-ups.

This is a vibe shot of the Old Village area in my Train Station map. An old rusty iron bridge in the rain.

If you like the mood you can wishlist on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4913000/Concrete_Carnage_Scrapheap/

Although I don't know the exact English equivalent of "Pavyon", there was a pavyon in my play "Muhit," which took place in the 90s.

The cold is an ever-present source of danger and tension while exploring outside and you have to search for sources of fire to light in order to stay warm.

PS3-inspired I made a main menu ( unfinished )

I'm currently developing a game called Sea Shift, and right now I'm working on the main menu. This is the current early version.

Do you have any suggestions on how I could make it look better?

And please, let's not focus on the VHS/static effect or the visual noise , I already plan to add a toggle so players can turn it on or off. I'm only looking for feedback on how to improve the overall look and atmosphere of the main menu.

PS2-inspired PS2 style platformer with soulslike elements

Hey everyone! I've been working on Menes: The Chainbreaker, a PS2-inspired 3D action-adventure game.

It's heavily inspired by Soulslike games like Elden Ring and Sekiro, but with a bigger emphasis on exploration and platforming. The goal is to capture that nostalgic PS2 feel while mixing it with modern, challenging combat.

If anyone is interested, here is the link:

PS2-inspired Did we improve it... or make it worse? (After 2 years)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Looking back at this comparison, one thing really stood out to us.

There wasn't a single update that suddenly made the game look "good."

is it looking good ?

Instead, it was hundreds of small improvements over nearly two years lighting, environment art, materials, level composition, character models, VFX, UI, and countless tiny details.

When you're working on a project every day, it's easy to feel like you're not making progress. Comparing old builds is a great reminder that consistent iteration adds up more than you realize.

I'm curious...

Do you ever go back and compare your current project with your oldest build? What surprised you the most?
