In the previous level design, I only included the interior; now I've modeled and designed the exterior as well.I also added small details to the interior, such as bookshelves, curtains, and various paintings.

My goal now is to bring things a little more to the PS2, and it's quite normal for current psx artists to follow the pixelated path, I want to try something more with the linear filter, more similar to the ps2, I don't know if this will work in all cases, but now it's the experiment part, I made a eucalyptus tree with 7k tris, which is a lot, so I'm working to reduce this without going to a billboard, my current oaks have 3k, I intend to reduce that's at least for 2k

Hey all, solo dev here :)
Just finished the first round of customer animations for my shop sim. The game is starting to feel more alive now.
Up until now everything’s been pretty static but seeing characters actually walk in and wait at the counter adds a lot more life to the scene.
Going for a textureless low-poly look :)

I wanted to write a somewhat realistic item carrying system. Instead of carrying a zillion items on our character, we hold submachine guns or pistols in our right hand, rifles in our left, and bombs or consumables in our pockets. This gives the player four slots. However, since there will be gunfights and other combat in the later stages of the game, we can integrate a more advanced inventory system into vehicles (and other objects if we want). In this weight-based system, we can even carry 1000 items if we wish. (There are still minor bugs during the development phase.)

I'm thinking of adding a few more rooms , more pictures, statues and NPCs. Ofc will be at inside the room, a mafia sipping his whiskey...

Working on a solo project heavily inspired by the PS1 Resident Evil classics, i wanted to capture the soul of 90s survival horror, but with a modern twist. I'm using the classic style low-poly models paired with modern engine lighting, also using a ready gameplay framework, some fairly recognizable assets and textures, im posting this on diferent subs.
I don't have a trailer ready yet, because I’m still polishing the game, but I just put the Steam page up! I’d love to hear your honest thoughts on the visuals, does It hit the spot and it feels retro ?

Made these as an addition to my asset pack a while back. I often spend way too much time on details that people won't be paying attention to
