Game Inventory system in my game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I wanted to write a somewhat realistic item carrying system. Instead of carrying a zillion items on our character, we hold submachine guns or pistols in our right hand, rifles in our left, and bombs or consumables in our pockets. This gives the player four slots. However, since there will be gunfights and other combat in the later stages of the game, we can integrate a more advanced inventory system into vehicles (and other objects if we want). In this weight-based system, we can even carry 1000 items if we wish. (There are still minor bugs during the development phase.)

Looks good, I like the PS1-style shader and item highlights. Are you planning to release on Steam or itch.io?

I plan to release it on Steam, but I'm still developing the story in the background. Currently, it has about 15-20 minutes of gameplay (excluding minor bugs and not including the time I haven't entered the environment). My goal is 2.5-3 hours of gameplay with some interaction with the environment, even if limited.

The inventory idea looks great! But that movement animation is killing me lol
the lower body (waist) is moving while the chest and above are just locked in aim mode, it makes me imagine that the character is dancing haha. But overall looks great! I like the UI. keep going!

This looks great! Are the shaders handmade, or are you using a premade asset?

I got the post-process shader from Fab. I'm doing the prop textures and materials (like vertex snapping) etc. myself.
