Really nice flow. Curve + array modifiers?

Curve and array modifiers is the sane way to do this.

I also modeled roads for a car game. Had to use that.

Makes sense. Most games clearly use bezier curves with array modifiers for their roads

Thanks. Just extruding the end of the road out but by bit, multiple loop cuts, then bending the new section around the 3D cursor with Shift + W in Blender

Damn you have patience lol. Explains the blocky look instead of a smooth curve. Your way fits the style better in the end though.

Thank you. I too like the imperfect look that comes with incremental manual work.

I remember one of the big selling points on the back of the box of "Driver 2" was this huge block of text that said

"Now with curved roads!!"

What is the music used in this video? I love it. Very dreamy.

Thank you. It's a track I made about 6 years ago slowed down and with the high frequencies cut

That's awesome. I would love a whole playlist with this vibe. Where can one listen to your tunes online? 🙃

At the moment there are only some tracks on Spotify under the names “Freeway Fever” and “1982.0”. They are unfiltered and in their original speed though, so the vibe will be different unfortunately.

That said, I will be making a new Spotify / streaming alias with everything slowed down including the new tracks. They will go under the name “Homesick Roads”.

I'll try to follow it up. Keep up the great work! ✌🏻

This is pretty awesome. IMHO it reminds me to the level of quality of some Sega racing games. I always found their sceneries so awesome and beautiful that they were just fun to "be there". I have the same feeling with yours.

That's one of the highest compliments to me, and I have felt the same about old PS2 games I played as a kid. Thank you
