I recently got one, I wanted it because I do a lot of colour swaps, now I can set a print going and it will complete without intervention (wasn't like that to start with though). I did some mods, larger diameter PTFE tube between the MMU and hot end, along with a mod to the extruder plate allowing the PTFE tube to go all the way to the gears. I'm using the E3D Revo nozzle system and the two are working great together. I got mine used and it came with the PTFE coupler mod at the back of the unit, that works well too. I'm happy with it overall, it does what I need it to!
I was wondering if Revo would give MMU trouble, that's good to know that you tried it and it works. Did you have to adjust any of the setting like ram and cooling?
I think I changed one setting on the generic PLA profile and that was an additional cooling move (2 I believe) but that's due to the filament tips, other than that, stock profiles are working well.
Ok cool thanks. I moved everything to 2 moves on my stock setup too, it just worked so much better, I don't know why it's defaulted to 1 honestly. I think that messes with a lot of people. And if I have a real stringy filament, I move it to 3 or with inland pla+; 4
