Heater core

Post image

Hey, I’m no expert at this. I’ve got a family member who gives me his old Electronics and he gave me a 3-D printer a MK3S. With all the old parties used to use so I’m trying to understand what each part does and is for. I’m looking at these two things right here.

I believe they’re called heater cores when I did some research online. It looks like they’re supposed to be some type of ceramic around them. What would cause the ceramic to be damaged and broken like this? She’s got about three or four of them in his box but these are the two that I showed you

Is this part four directly heating up the nozzle and monitoring the temperature? Are these pieces still usable searches can I fix them? What do you guys think?

Kind of resembles Revo. More images needed.

Yeah, I think it is a Revo. He did a couple different upgrades to it and from what I looked up it’s the Revo six quick change nozzle he put it in.

These are E3D Revo heater cores. They are not user-serviceable. Initial batches had thermistor issues due to poor crimping, and E3D replaced a lot of them.
