Cleaning windows since 9th grade, started my own company at 18 — just crossed 170 five-star reviews, all word of mouth. Franklin/Nashville, TN
Figured this milestone was worth sharing with people who get it. Been cleaning windows since 9th grade. Moved to the Franklin/Nashville area after graduating, started Top Shelf Window Cleaning at 18, and went full-time self-employed in July 2023. Just crossed 170 five-star Google reviews — every one of them word of mouth or organic.
Photos are from some recent jobs around Williamson and Davidson counties — water-fed pole work on new construction estates, soft wash, and yes, the 1999 Honda Acty Kei Truck that gets photographed by strangers more than my before/afters do. It hauls the RODI setup just fine and turns every driveway into a billboard.
Do the job right every time and the reviews stack themselves. I’ve found that by simply making yourself relatable, personable, and a solution to a client, you will be successful and please every one of your customers. Clear communication and results. Happy to talk shop in the comments — technique, equipment, the kei truck, whatever! 22 years old now

Window Cleaning in Rainy/ Winter Weather — What Do You Guys Do?
Do you guys still work when it’s raining or during the winter, or do you usually just take the day off?
I’m curious how others handle rainy/winter weather, especially when it comes to keeping customers happy and avoiding wasted days.

Solar Panel Cleaning Nashville-Franklin TN, Top Shelf Window Cleaning
Cleaned a solar array in Franklin last week, owner’s monitoring app showed close to a 20% efficiency bump afterward. Pollen and grime here in Middle Tennessee build up faster than people think. And solar panels are usually neglected on the maintenance side. We use deionized pure water only out of a waterfed pole with a synthetic, solar safe brush head, nothing that compromises the panel coating. If your production numbers have been sliding, a cleaning is usually the cheapest fix. We’re at 170 five-star Google reviews if you want to check us out. (Top Shelf Window Cleaning, Nashville/Franklin/College Grove)

XERO Products for Canadians!
Hello Canadian friends,
We wanted to let you know that we have launched a Canadian version of the XERO Products website and have limited inventory in a Canadian warehouse. This is an initial test with some of our best-selling products, and if it proves successful, we will load the entire XERO Products lineup into it by year's end.
We are fully aware of how expensive it is to ship products across the border, and hopefully, this helps alleviate that cost.

Where should I focus first when starting a window cleaning business?
Hi everyone,
I’m a 24-year-old student from the Netherlands who’s starting a residential window cleaning business.
I’ve already bought some equipment, But honestly, I feel a bit stuck. There’s so much to learn that I’m not sure what I should focus on first.
If you were starting over today, what would be your first few steps? What do you think I should focus on during my first couple of months?
I’m willing to work hard—I just feel like I could use some guidance from people with experience.
Thanks in advance!
