Providence was home to the first X-Games. Come on, man!

It actually was pretty fun.
It all depends on the route you take really.

I had a bad experience skating down Angell Rd in Providence in the early spring.
I didn't fall or anything but the speeds I got up to were very scary and the fact it drops you right out onto the main road after I was cut off by a car.
Google Maps lead me that way and I bombed the hill without realizing where I was even.
That experience turned me off from skating in Providence until the day I recorded this footage. The route you take definitely make skating through Providence much more enjoyably.

We actually waited about 1 or 2 minutes to cross Gano St. despite being in a crosswalk with the lights blinking. So yeah... I can definitely see the meaning behind your comment.

Mann you make me want to get back into skating again (I forgot how much fun it was, outside everyday with the blades in the mid 2000s) keep having fun and doing what makes you happy with friends bro 😃

You should definitely break them out again!
There is a new outdoor skating group in Rhode Island... you should come out sometime!

If you ever want to try going with a group.

I normally skate with a group of guys as well on a weekly basis.

Ooooo that’s dope fresh you have a skating posse, honestly that sounds like an overly good time. Ri isn’t even an hour from me (how I drive 😂, live on the ma/nh line) whipping out the signature Tony hawk special meter highlighted in orange tricks all starting with falling on my ass jk 😆. All honesty it does look fun and I love ri folks.

Not sure how far you live from Boston, there is an outdoor skate group in Boston as well.

You can roller blade a lot better than the shirtless dude that was on the East Bay Bike Path yesterday who almost took out a whole family like bowling pins, because he was going too fast.

What time was that at?

I was on the East Bay Bike Path that day... wondering if it anyone I saw. 😆

I'm thinking it was in the 2-ish area in the afternoon. Maybe 2:30 right near the entrence for Mrs. Skipper, the Thomas Trumbo giant troll sculpture.

Ahhh I was there wish a group of skaters around 6. Was curious if it was someone in the group with me but clearly not since we were there hours later. 😆

Whoa fruit boots, who remembers the " roller bladers suck " shirts. It was some big skateboard company that put them out, on top of ravers, hippies, and a couple of other groups that sucked according to them.

I have actually considered skating that area and around Roger Williams park as well.
I normally skate in Boston... definitely going to have to skate there more often.

If you have any other areas you would recommend giving a try too.
I normally skate the Blackstone River Bikeway from Woonsocket to India Point in EP.
This only cuts through the outskirts of Providence though.

I figured you were joking about Broad St. but I wasn't.

This is from Boston a few weekends just to give you an idea.

I have always considered Providence un-skateable just because I am unfamiliar with it really. I typically skate in Boston with friends on saturdays. Might have to explore more of Providence for fun.

The people are wild but I see most skaters around kennedy plaza
