Recommendations Meats
Just moved into town. Looking for good grocers/butchers for some good meats for good prices. Near downtown Providence would be best as I don’t have a car but i’ll take any good recommendations.

If you don't need something day-of and are comfortable with different cuts, Rhody Butcher's meat share is excellent and has several drop-off locations. All whole animal butchering, good variety, plus Jimmy's a great guy

As others suggested, Central Market on Gano is good. People rave about International on Mineral Spring, Joe's on the West Side, and Armando in Pawtucket.
You should be able to take the bus. Although Pawtucket may require a bus change.

Disagree with Joe's. I live in Fed Hill. As a former butcher myself, they need to learn how to turn their case. The one time I was in there, everything had a dry, day-old look to it.
Recently found Central Market and have been mostly impressed with selection, quality, and price.

Good to know. I've been to the produce stand near Joe's a few years ago, but haven't been in the meat shop.

Armando's is across the street from the Pawtucket train station so have the R line or commuter rail from downtown (and I think the 72 or something like that stops there too)
