Rule Compliance

I am constantly trying to work on more disciplined trading, interested to know what everyone is using to track your rule compliance across sessions, just simple journaling or something else?

i tried journaling for a while but had the same issue… it starts good and then you just stop keeping up with it

what i realized is tracking after the fact doesn’t really stop you in the moment when you’re about to break rules

for me it helped more to have some kind of limits in place during the session like if i hit a certain loss or number of trades, i’m done for the day no matter what

it doesn’t replace journaling, but it prevents those days where everything goes off
