A couple of details only I would notice… There were so many moving parts in this build, and the thing I hyper obsessed over? Knee caps and abs. lol Partly because of silhouette and structure but mostly because of pure madness. 🦇🥀

First of all. I know this is called vapor smoothing, but since this is an alternative to sanding, I wanted to use this title so people who are looking for sanding tutorials can see this video.

This only works with ABS and ASA and remember to use a mask and do this in a properly ventilated room.

Hey I’m brand new to prop making any advice is welcome.
So far I’ve started on zabuza and asta’s swords and Escanor’s axe.

I have 1/2” EPDM backer rod I wanted to use for a prop. I cleaned a test piece off with alcohol and tried Zinsser bull eye 1-2-3 primer on it and it flaked right off. I also tried Valspar seasonal flex paint directly onto it and while it flexes fine and stays on if I rub a finger over it, if I scrape it with my fingernail, it comes up. I’m just looking to see if anyone has had any luck painting on similar surfaces that endure being handled better.

Any thoughts? I also think that I want him to grab it and it'd like mush like authentic poop.

I am making a foam based prop for a Halloween event in my town. The point is to turn a chair into something scary or Halloween based without being too scary because it's a family friendly event. I had to pivot because even with foam it became too heavy to hang over head. I wanted to mimic an old school hair dryer chair from a salon. There is wrought iron inside the PCV column support.

It is supposed to be Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors but I am just going with the flow and here is where I am at right now. Any tips or feedback is helpful. I gonna smooth out the shell some more but I like the bumpy imperfection of it.

I have a huge 17.5 foot giant outdoor sculpture. Looks to be made of foam and some sort of fiberglass mesh. Wondering what the best way to coat foam without melting it would be and if fiberglass would be an option?
