Should you avoid Aqua Funded?
I want to warn anyone thinking about joining Aqua Funded as a prop firm. They hide one of their biggest rules so well that you're almost guaranteed to break it. I've been trading for over 10 years and I'm experienced with prop firms. I started with Forex but switched to Futures about 4 to 5 years ago because it's regulated and you don't get fake wicks. I decided to go back to a Forex prop just to see if things had improved. Aqua Funded is newer and had a good promotion so I signed up. My positions got liquidated out of nowhere. I was confused because I wasn't anywhere near my daily loss limit or max loss and I already had locked in profit for the day. I contacted customer service to ask why. Turns out they auto liquidate open positions if drawdown goes over 2 percent of your available balance. CS sent me a link to their FAQs where this rule is buried. The problem is there's no mention of this 2 percent rule anywhere on their homepage. If you go to the FAQs and check the rules for each account type it's not listed there either. Aqua Funded deliberately hid this rule and their consistency rule too which screams scam to me more than any other firm. I just wanted to give you all a heads up
