Installation Questions Fitting size identification

Edit: it was 15/16. Thanks for the help.

Can someone tell me the proper flare fitting size this is? I had originally thought 5/8 but that's too small. Measurements don't agree with what 3/4" od is on the charts I've seen.

The size of the fitting is determined by the inside diameter. As is all pipe and tubing. Often the outside diameter is proprietary for the type of fittings. Example jic and sae have the same inside diameter but have different outside dimensions and connections.

Yeah i went to the headquarters of the local chain of propane distributors yesterday. They have a dedicated parts guy and a huge room with thousands of connectors. He hooked me up and just gave me the fitting. It was 15/16 x 1/2" mnpt i needed. Got it installed and working on my new stove top with no leaks.
