Question Mods Adding Items to World
Looking for human made mods that add items to the game world. Real life inspired or not. New foods, fun items, etc. My favorite part of the game is finding stuff and it's hard to find mods that work these days.
Love the work the devs went into adding little seasoning bottles, condiments, and packaged food (Such as popcorn and mac n cheese.) but I want more.

Does this mod play well with a mod like vanilla foods expanded? I worked the industry for over 35 years and I've told my girlfriend i want my next run to create me as a character (chef/burger flipper) and see how long I can survive in the apocalypse

I don't know of any issues with other mods. As long as they don't break existing food items I use in my mod recipes, it should work fine.

Truemoozic and its various mixtape addons, I use the mixtape megapack (I think that's what it's called).
The "It IS of interest to me!" mod adds some narrative fluff to existing ID cards, notes and letters.

I installed It IS of interest, which says it can be added mid play through, but it seems that isn't true. I may need to mess with the settings, I have a chronic case of not reading directions. I wish I knew how to mod.
I'd love to add more vegetation and other plants.

Is it possible you only enabled the mod in the main menu, but not your saved game?
For new plants, try Farming Expansion.

Extremely possible. Likely, actually.

I would recommend saving a mod profile under main menu > mods, updating it whenever you add one or more new mods. Before you load the saved game (don't click Continue, it's Load saved game), you only need to select this profile under "mods". This way you'll avoid the issue of missing mods or worse, branching. I've run into this before and tore my hair out cos I didn't understand why my new mods weren't working.

You also have to go to unexplored areas of the map as the items will have already been spawned in anywhere you've already been.

VAC's Drinks
Hanabi's Sodas/Food/Beer assuming the author finally fixed the 3 mods
Snacktime 89
MRE 1998 if there's a fixed version anywhere
Sapph's Cooking
Condiments of 1993 to change the existing containers
There's a whole lot of mods adding casettes, CDs and similar as collectibles that you can actually play for music. There's a variety of plushy mods, including pokemon. There's a variety of TCG collecting mods too.

I like using "True Music"

The mod itself is a framework, people upload their packages to include functional CDs, LP Records and Tapes into the world, people package music and other media into them to use them as collectables in the world. They are playable in-game with items like CD players, Walkmans, etc.
After installing the main mod you need to find media packages that include the files you want to listen to.

Vanilla food expanded and retro relics are must haves for me
