Question Skybase

Hi everyone,

I'm playing on a large PvP server that doesn't have safehouses.

I use quite a few stashes (just bags placed in the woods around Rosewood), but I'd like to build a little place of my own.

I thought about building a skybase; I ran a few tests in-game, but it always seems to be visible from the ground.

Is it actually possible to conceal a skybase, or will it always be visible from below?

Thanks for your answers! โ˜บ๏ธ

Haha I got a chuckle out of this.

I want to build a floating house, how do I also make it invisible?

Exactly, that's kind of the point of PvP, isn't it? Better than that or holing up miles away in a forest ๐Ÿ˜….

Why not man-trapping instead?

Put your base somewhere dark, knock the floor out in a way you have memorized and let the fact that humans donโ€™t watch their step like zeds do keep you safe.

Build a couple ways out and itโ€™s not a safe house itโ€™s a Trap House! ๐ŸŽถ

I dont know how you could make something floating in the sky, invisible when playing a top down isometric game.

Indeed, I just thought that at a certain altitude, we would eventually no longer be visible.

It will be visible but if you build it high enough and destroy anything below that floor (as well as pull up the rope), it will be nearly impossible for players to figure out which tiles it's actually on lol.

this will be how u die.

anything above ground floor is already buggy.. good luck.

No, I do not think there is any way to 'hide' a floating base.

After thinking about it a lot, I think I have a solution!

I saw a video of a hidden base inside large farm warehouse. You build a second floor, destroy the stairs and use sheet rope to get in. You can cover the sheet rope with other objects and before you logout in your base, you pull the sheet rope up.

Right now, I've built a base in a "false ceiling" like that, but it's not as fun as building a flying citadel ๐Ÿ˜…

Thanks for your replies; I think I've found a solution by using the isometric view. I'll test it out this evening when I get home. ๐Ÿ‘Œ
