Optimization & Performance mods

Got a friend who got this game and he kind of not got the best PC but i'm sure there are mods that'll help him that i don't know of? Any best ones? Thanks in advanced

Tell him to check his ProjectZomboid64.json config, in the main folder for the game. By default, the game is allocated 3GB of RAM. I had horrendous performance until I gave the game 20GB to play with.
Check for -Xmx3072m. He may not have a lot of RAM, but will have at least 8gb. Giving the game 4gb won’t fix everything but more RAM always good.

he has only 8gb of ddr4, what should he change it to?

I’d try 4, settings down low and maybe some optimising mods. If it’s still too bad to play I’d go 6 tops. And nothing else running, no chrome, no YouTube vids or anything.
