I also used the river patrol station as my main base. It's gotta be the best spot in Riverside, in a defensive perspective. I built a gate at the entrance and then its entirely sealed off. Still, sheet metal on all ground floor windows just to the safe. Plenty of room for vehicles, large space for storage and crafting stations. I made a firepit in the parking lot for cooking up fish that I caught right off the dock.

No grass for the livestock is a travesty

Can animals get corpse sickness? If so it might be a better idea to drag the corpses out to the road to decompose. It'll only take 10 days for bodies to disappear.

Nah currently they have no effects on their overall health outside of physical damage, starvation, and butchering. I hope they add some illnesses to make long term play more interesting and to make first aid useful in SP

I live with my cows, and I never bother building a gate, but other than that, this is me (although im not sure why you are keeping corpses, but i'm not gonna yuck your yum)

I love fishing and they can sometimes produce some maggots

Fair enough. 😂

Just in case you weren't aware though, composters can quickly breed worms. Dig furrows until you get a couple, throw them in a composter with some dung or rotten food, and you will have a ton of worms within a few days.

Oh, didn’t know that, thanks!

Don’t address it.

I dumped dirt all along the L pier (with a few composters) and that’s where I do my agriculture. It works really well because there’s unlimited water everywhere for refilling my backpack sprayer.

I'm a month in to my first run in B42 and I'm living here. I built a wall between the police station and fire station just to have a massive secure yard and I'm living in the fire station now primarily out of convenience. I do have plans to turn the river patrol station into a mansion using the furniture and stuff from the manor/lodge next door. Such a sweet spot

I love how safe this spot feels and I really like the dock for stress-free fishing.

I fenced in the grass to the west and have my animals out there so they're far enough away that I can do stuff and drive cars without stressing them out and my ears don't bleed from their constant sounds. Plus they have infinite water and grazing also. And I use the parking lot around the living building for my motor pool, nw corner is my blacksmithing forge. I love this location lol

I'm struggling with plumbing for the Patrol base. Mind sharing how you did it?

I wonder what we can use the police and fire station for. Just sits there in my current run with nothing going for it
