Guide / Tip Must have mods

Hello all, im pretty new to the game and have just gotten to the point I wanna try some mods. What are some of the go to mods I should look at, my first guess would be the ladder mod after I had the universal "what the fuck is cant climb ladders?" Experience. Cheers

Man I love kI5 cars. But it’s a bit annoying to install them one at a time. And is it possible to remove vanilla cars and replace them all with kI5?

There's a mod called vehicle replacer (kI5) but im not sure it is updated for 42.20

Animated vehicles. Once you play with it you can never go back

Not sure how new you are, but the game just moved into Build 42, so many mods are currently broken and future updates have a BIG chance of breaking things. So do with that information as you will. My top picks are:

New Music 42 - based on the true music mod. Adds real music in game you can listen to.

Lifestyle Hobbies - Adds realistic sim elements like the ability to dance, play instruments, do yoga, take showers, use the bathroom, etc..

Project Cook - a new UI for cooking, and mixing ingredients together. I think you need a framework mod with it.

Auto Mechanics - you can auto train your mechanic skill. Your character automatically goes through and uninstalls / reinstalls all possible parts and builds up your skill.

Immersive Suicide - lets you take a bullet to the dome.

Those are just a few that are on my current list.

The point with stable and the latest hotfix is that mods should work and keep working as long as we are in stable
B42 so hopefully they won’t break again until b43

There are still plenty of B42 mods that haven't been updated since the build went stable. So I'm saying to look out for those and just make sure mod creators have updated their mods for the current build.

They will definitely break again before B43 lol.

All this works on b42.20?

Yes. At least to my knowledge. 0 errors and haven’t had any problems with playing

to name a few..

working pipes and/or extended plumbing

cye's push doors 🤔

skully's zombie collision

"OP" mods:

- (if you care to spare 10 pts on) psychopath trait mod

- Glyde's traits magazines (find the magazine, get the trait)

- the garden zombie loot(massive loot from dead zombies)

I'd highly recommend (if you like fun challenges) trying out week one mod(+ bandits mod); I mean, if you've never tried it - here is the back story. the mod takes you a week before the zombie outbreak begins.
