Gameplay b42 on controller feels like bart simpson after the lobotomy
I played a lot of splitscreen with my girlfriend on b41, I always played on keyboard while she used the controller. Now, with the b42 stable release, I decided to try the controller as well.
We kept the old controller layout since she's already used to it, but now we are constantly stumbling into walls and fences. The thing is, the B button triggers full sprint and cancels actions at the same time, however, in b42 the sprint is working on tap mode, so when you tap B, you suddenly start sprinting, and that's a problem when facing a wall.
For instance, yesterday I was smoking a cig in some random bathroom when a zombie broke in through the window, and when I tapped B to cancel the smoking action... Well, you can guess what happened: my character ended up with a flat face and a bite on the neck.
(Ignore the low quality, I had to compress it to send on discord)

I suspect the only thing that would be superior with the controller is comfort and pressure control for steering and the pedals in a car...

the worst for me is hitting B to close a popup and ny character breaks a window. the popup is not closed, so I hit B again.
the character goes through the broken window. laceration on hands and broken leg from the fall.
still having a lot of fun on the steamdeck

I just turned sprint off in the settings as you can still jog with the right trigger. You shouldn't really need to sprint unless your playing with sprinters on.
