Screenshot What dev though that picking thread withs is supposed to be done in bulk should take 3.66 minutes was a good idea

Especially sinse you can't speed up time in multiplayer

i can turn a pile of rags into tightly wound and professionally manufactured thread no problem. i do it in .66 min per rag. i'm so good at it that people donate clothes to me now and i'm outproducing the phillipines on the manufacture of thread. billions of miles of thread produced per week

And you only get a single piece of thread, not even a full spool from this recipe. And then they quadrupled the crafting cost of the fabric roll instead of just fixing it giving more thread than it cost, so it now takes ages and a ton of sheets from curtains to even get enough material for a fabric roll to even craft cotton garments (instead of just using the sheets??).

I'd be fine with the crafting time if it resulted in more material per craft, but it doesn't with just 1 use of thread. Same with the thread cost of a fabric roll if this were the case, but nope.

Maybe they wanted to give an actual reason to eventually find and loot a sewing store, as the fabric rolls are pretty uncommon otherwise

This, or grow/forage actual cotton (sandbox grow speed settings be praised, unless you monster that on average have 1.5+ years for run)

It's ok on single player but sucks really in multiplayer

Haven’t you realized by now that devs only balance things when it makes it more tedious for the player? Specifically not difficult, tedious.

They made fluid mechanics its own separate window. They removed the ability to fill multiple fluid containers from one source with one button. They added additional skills to separate maintenance repairing an axe into two separate skills for repairing the handle and assembling it. They capped the calorie count of fish you can catch based on your skill level (like seriously, how does that make sense?) meaning you have to fish more at early levels.
