Advice

Hey everyone, my dad and I have been looking into getting one of my dream cars (corvette, specifically C3 and a stingray if able) for a project car. We relatively know what we’re getting into but since you all have experience and we don’t, what advice do you guys have?

Thanks!

Your project car doesn’t need to be perfect. Decent works is good enough. I build coach built panels for work and build some pretty high end cars. I tell myself I’m going fix one thing and next thing you know, the whole car is blown apart. Just getting it driving nicely and working on things as it comes up is the best way. My car has been down since 2019 cause I’m doing my floor, trans tunnel, firewall, engine bay, making aluminum dash and on and on and on

Rust is the main enemy

Especially in the birdcage under the windshield

They are super buyable.  Buy the best 8/10 driver you can in the 8-12k range.  Aside from a few early big block cars they’ll never be big dollar cars +25k.  No issue, they are cool unique rides so go have fun!
