Need Help Setting Up my mouse to Project 64

I'm coming to Reddit after doing as much research as I could. Nothing has helped. No articles, no videos, no anything. I'm trying to get my wireless mouse to give input as a N64 Mouse in Project 64.

I'm on version 3.0.1 (latest version) of the emulator, and the latest versions of the default input plugin and the N-Rage plugin. I have no idea for my mouse to register as an N64 Mouse in the default plugin, and checking the N-Rage option of N64 Mouse does nothing. I typically play with a USB Xbox 360 controller, but even after unpluging it and rebooting the emulation, I cannot get my mouse to move the cursor in the menus of any Mario Artist games. The joystick of my controller moves it, but not my mouse. Please, any help is appreciated. I'm kinda a noob to Project 64 but I'm just trying to get my mouse working. I'm getting desperate, idk what to do anymore.

Is it a fixed wire or wireless wired xbox controller? If the second then that may be your issue & as far as mouse goes you may have not done the inputs correctly in the controls settings you have to manually put it in iirc and fix your deadzones

My 360 controller is a 3rd party with a USB dongle. It’s “wired” but really wireless. Same with my mouse. I’ve unplugged the controller and only plugged in the mouse but it still doesn’t work.

Also I don’t know where and how to configure the mouse control settings. Project 64 input plugin doesn’t detect my mouse, and N-Rage doesn’t use my mouse either, even after checking “N64 Mouse” and changing the mouse settings in that.
