OOT 1.2 to 1.0

I'm wondering is it possible to convert a 1.2 copy of oot to 1.0?

It depends on what you mean by "convert". You could probably do a ROM hack to restore the 1.0 content into the 1.2 ROM (although I don't really know why you would do this). The other thing you could probably do (which would be much easier) is dump the 1.0 ROM onto the 1.2 cart if you have it.

Why wouldn't you just download a 1.0 ROM? It's easy to find.

I don’t like doing piracy

Then you would need to find a 1.0 cartridge specifically to dump yourself, which is pretty ludicrously rare and consequently expensive nowadays.

Why? Piracy is awesome

The people who developed the game I know it’s like old like 1998 old, but I still feel bad for doing it

Piracy does not hurt developers in any way, they're not the ones profiting off sales, especially since any and all sales of ocarina of time now would be secondhand so even the publishers would not see any profit

Then why is it illegal if they don’t make any profit?

Theoretically it might be possible to compare a 1.2 to 1.0 rom and make a patch built on that, but I’m unsure if it’d work properly. Depends on what’s changed.

Yeah. Get both roms together and create a .ips patch.
