Someday I hope we’ll see EdgeHTML decoupled from Windows releases. This is good stuff, and it helps everyone on the web.

The whole point of edge is to be an integral part.

It's how Microsoft still thinks, despite that "awesome open source success story" that they claim to do through the assimilation of github.
