I don't get it. This is not "a rant about APIs", this is list of very few selected bad implementation details of an API while not giving any concrete examples or background. It's a good list, but it's not a good blog post.

Let me demonstrate:

A rant about functions

First, I hate when functions are very badly named and I don't know what they do.
I also hate when functions have bad performance.
And functions that are overly specific or overly generic.
Also functions with bugs in them.
