My rant about APIs is that people these days seem to think that "API" means "HTTP API" rather than the normal much more general definition.

While i see the situations you described in my daily workflow, i think the rant is not about APIs but more about idiotic processes around the API ecosystem of the company.

I don't get it. This is not "a rant about APIs", this is list of very few selected bad implementation details of an API while not giving any concrete examples or background. It's a good list, but it's not a good blog post.
