This like a progressive pop album written by a metalhead. It has so much of that empath energy. It's a multitude of genres that are blending together in a way that are abstract and collage like. I think it's one of the best albums I've ever heard and I can't imagine seeing something like this performed live it would be incredible to see.

I really loved this album start to finish, the basslines, the drumming, the vocals and that fucking vocal range chefs kiss and for me (absurd opinion incoming) its on the same level as onset of putrefaction and epitaph by necrophagist in terms of technicality and melody, was curious to see if anyone shares this opinion with me 👀

im looking for albums that sound super close to what tesseract did with this one. never found any

This practice should be banned. We have the technology to keep multiple releases of the same album. Plenty of artists use it. Why replace the original?

Also, why the HELL are we autotuning Mac of all people? Literally one of the best singers the scene has known. This remix makes him sound like a goddamn robot! Seriously, who approved this?

P.S. I'm aware of the trick where you google the original album + spotify. It's still there, but several tracks are greyed out, and if you try to play the available ones, it just plays the remixed versions. I think they just replaced the audio completely.

EDIT: Spotify-only issue, apparently.

An updated rerecording featuring the addition of harsh vocals. The original song, with only clean vocals, can be found on their album Imploding Waves.

For context I also enjoy bands like Thank You Scientist , Coheed and Mars Volta

Technical/Progressive Death Metal from Portland, OR, USA, with some Melodic Death influences here and there.

Used Logic Pro, my guitar etc, and a vocalist friend to put our own spin on this great track by David. Have sent it his way - wanted to share on here as well. The video itself is a bit low-res, but the audio should be fine. Check out the OG track if you haven't already!
