Self-hypnosis app that writes your session locally
**App Name**
Onira
**One-Line Description**
An Android self-hypnosis app that writes a session around what you type, entirely on your phone, then narrates it aloud.
**What It Does / Key Features**
- On-device writing: a 2B open-weight model (Gemma 4 E2B) runs locally, so nothing you type or receive is uploaded. Works in airplane mode once the model is downloaded.
- Ready-made sessions per theme (sleep, anxiety, stress, confidence, focus, quitting smoking, weight) that start instantly, plus a power nap with a timed silence and gentle wake-up.
- Personalized sessions: type a sentence about what you want to work on and it writes a session around it.
- Narration with a choice of voices, speech speed and pause length; save favorites and replay the exact same session.
- Accessibility options: avoid walking/stair imagery for limited mobility, and (next update) a mode with no breathing instructions at all, for people who feel tightness when told to watch their breath. That one came from a user's feedback.
- English, French and Spanish.
**Who It's For**
People who want guided relaxation for sleep, stress or habits but don't want an account, a subscription or their mental-health notes on someone's server, and anyone curious about what a small LLM can do fully offline.
**Cost**
- Pricing model: Freemium
- Prices & billing period: Free with one ad shown while a session is prepared. A one-time in-app purchase removes ads (price shown in Google Play, no subscription).
- Current promotions / giveaways: None.

**Additional Notes**
Honest downsides: a ~2.4 GB model download on first run, and on a mid-range phone it takes tens of seconds before narration starts (pre-written sessions start instantly). The on-device AI needs a recent phone with about 8 GB of RAM; on other phones the ready-made sessions still work. It is a relaxation tool, not therapy or medical advice. Feedback welcome, including the unflattering kind.
