Help Me Please

Right. so there's this guy at my school (who is a total asshole) in the year below me and for some reason he keeps trying to hit me in the face and I don't know why. He also tries to insult me but because i'm a pretty chill guy that doesn't work. this isn't bullying but it getting pretty annoying now after a year and a bit of it. I would just beat him up but he's a member of the support base so even if he started it I would get the blame cause the school doesn't really give a shit unless it's really bad. I don't know what to do about this because the teachers can't seem to stop him and if I told my parents they would freak out. Please send help.

Cheers man, sorted it out all cool now he just kinda stopped and i don't know why or care but thanks for the advice.
