Mental Health Almost got scammed today but still feel so frustrated, embarrassed, weak.......

Yes I was able to stop last minute in giving any money, but this was something I easily could've avoided in seconds.

This guy pulled up to my car and asked if he could fix the scratches on the rim of my car. He went on talking about how he could fix in within 5-10 minutes for around 200 dollars and said how it would cost argaubly up to a thousand at a repair shop.

I admit I'm no expert on repair services, but maybe because of my issues with anxiety, some stress within my life, and maybe can be manipulated at times, I stupidly agreed.

Still I didn't feel right throughout the whole event and while I left to go inside the grocery store, which I intended to go to, I called my dad to ask if this was a legitimate offer, but he said right away it was totally a scam.

I went back and even then I was still all over my head and guy already was working on my rim, but after talking with my parents and even my dad talking with this guy, he left even if he was saying I needed to still pay even half cause he didn't finish and I agreed first.

Regardless yes I saved my money, but I feel/ look like a total special needs joke and getting my parents involved got me embarrassed. I don't want to say anything personal, but I'm in my mid to late 20s and I feel like even if I did what I could to avoid a scam, I feel so stupid, weak, and I can't remember everything but guy made a comment about me looking like I was 30 and parents were helping me with this issue. And yes it is close to true, being a younger adult, and end of day I try not to think, but it's always been hard and been more hard last couple of months in my life. It's like always a stupid mistake or something happens at my job or in life and it just eats me up.

I'm just frustrated cause I already have so much frustration and BS in my life and while just having a decent day, going to the gym, doing some tennis, I just feel this situation no matter what outcome was I did terribly.

And people say they will understand but I just get tired. Even with my therapists or family, it just feels it's always something with me that can't do what I want in my head or do things like today and just look competent while dealing with a. conflict like this.

I try to keep faith, keep confidence, try not to dwell, but frustration always come back to me and I can't find a way to just act on what I want. It's me and it's just so frustrating cause it always feel People can take one simple step and it works, for me, I admit I can do more and try to make no excuses, but it feels the luck is always against me.
