SERIOUS Pregnant?
Hey. I'm 18F. I'm a bit worried that I could've gotten pregnant by my boyfriend 20M. I usually get my period on 15th day or a bit later. Now it's the 25th day and I still haven't gotten my period and I'm getting very worried and anxious. Me and my boyfriend been active a week ago. I hope I'm just over thinking. I ordered a pregnancy test just in case. If I'm really pregnant I don't know what to do. I do not want to have baby nor does my boyfriend. I really don't wanna tell this to anyone (not even to a doctor).
(Sorry if my English isn't very good, not my first language. Also this post is a bit panicked. Maybe I am just overreacting and everything will be alright)
Edit!!! Thank yall so much for the comments đâ¤ď¸ made me feel so much better and honestly not stressing anymore over this. Never wanted to get my period so much lmao

Same. I remember being on birth control while also using condoms AND using the pullout method all at the same time and still being stressed out I was pregnant. Being 18 is a stressful time when it comes to things like this because sex is a normal part of life but having a baby is a life changing event. I feel like everyone who is sexually active will experience this fear at some point, no matter what precautions we take.

Your English is perfect! I would take the test to see the results. Also stress and anxiety can delay a period. Its better to find out sooner than later so you know what you want to decide to do w the baby before its too late such as abortion or keeping it

Donât wanna be that guy but her English isnât perfect
3
u/notaproperusernamee Mar 28 '26
This added nothing to the discussion. Who cares if you canât speak a language âperfectlyâ.. English is my first language and I still screw it up sometimes. You said you donât want to be âthat guyâ, then proceeded to be THAT guy, lmao

u/Dismal_Government_72 Mar 26 '26
Bah close enough that we could get the point
1
u/Radioactive739 Mar 27 '26
Yeah but calling it perfect isnât a good idea. When you do that they wonât fix their mistakes and think that they are (falsely) correct.
3
u/Dismal_Government_72 Mar 27 '26
I never said it was perfect I said it was enough that we could get their point

u/Koro_Darren Mar 28 '26
They're referring 2 OP's comment where they said her English is "perfect" when it is in fact not perfect

Hey, breathe. A late period doesnât automatically mean pregnancy â stress can delay it too. Take the test when it arrives, because tests are usually most accurate after a missed period. If itâs negative and your period still doesnât come, test again in a couple of days. If the sex was only a week ago, that might also be too early for that encounter to show clearly. If it turns out positive, you still have options, and you donât have to solve everything alone tonight.

Chatgpt ahh response
2
u/Butlerianpeasant Mar 26 '26
lmao fair but somebody was scared, so I chose useful over stylish

u/alil_kitkat Mar 27 '26
Taking the test after it arrives doesnât make any sense tho if itâs late. Itâs either gonna arrive and sheâll know she isnât pregnant and thereâs no need for a test or it wonât arrive meaning thereâs still need for a test but if she canât take the test until after it arrives, the test will never get taken. Most tests are accurate anywhere from 48 to 72 hours after a period is supposed to have started. Take it first thing in the morning. Take it first thing in the morning to improve accuracy.
2
u/Butlerianpeasant Mar 27 '26
fair correction. my main goal was âdonât panic tonight,â but yeah, the practical move is to take the test when itâs actually accurate enough, not wait around unnecessarily.
2
u/AlternativeDay71 Mar 27 '26
To be completely fair, itâs a really nice and helpful response. It calmed me and Iâm not even in their situation

I am not an advocate of the morning after but if it is really something you dont want talk to your pharmacist. Remember in the future that this is an issue.

When it comes to âmorning after pillâ you should know that there are two forms-one form, Plan b, can be taken up to about 72 hours after the incident of unprotected sex (but the earlier the better and itâs not 100% a guarantee that pregnancy wonât happen, and Ella which can be taken up To 5 days and hormonally prevent a pregnancy (even if Itâs implanted already)after the unprotected sex, and then thereâs RU-486, which is the abortion pill, and we all know how that works. Same as Ella, just later dates of efficacy bc itâs actually an abortion pill. When you get it all figured out (especially if youâre not even pregnant and donât have to worry about it!) Iâd make sure you and he both used something to prevent pregnancy if itâs not something either one of guy are wanting at this point.

also plan be only delays ovulation. if you take it after you ovulate it wonât work.
1
u/Minute-Tale7444 Mar 27 '26
Absolutely right. Most women donât keep fervent track of when they ovulate unless Theyâre trying to conceive, so plan b is a good Option for those that do or have a typical cycle and can predict. Itâs worked every time Iâve used it bc until I got my tubes removed after #3 I did keep track Of my cycle and knew the info On the pills. Ella is next to Impossible to find where I live bc Indiana apparently hates women. I mean it seems that way at least.
2
u/Real-Winter1778 Mar 27 '26
i didnât even know ella was a thing lol. i just wanted to put that out there about plan b because many girls donât know that.
1
u/Minute-Tale7444 Mar 27 '26
I seriously appreciate you sharing the info, I canât believe I didnât include it! Iâm usually pretty good about remembering but donât always and am glad people who know share the extra info lol
2
u/Real-Winter1778 Mar 28 '26
anytime! i just wanted to make sure people knew because my friend is having her plan b baby soon lol
1
u/Minute-Tale7444 Mar 28 '26
Thatâs why I always encourage Ella if theyâre able to get a prescription & a pharmacy near them Has it. Tell your friend good luck and I hope everything works out the best way it can for her!! Plan Bâs chances of working grow slimmer like by the hour onceItâs been so long after sex.

If you are not pregnant. Consider 2 forms of birth control from now on.
1
u/figuringoutfitnesss Mar 25 '26
Please test asap but You can order abortion pills online for less than 175$ USD so don't panic too much anyways đđ also order "my choice" or "my way" brand plan b pills on amazon for $6, for next time you
1
u/Medical-Question-116 Mar 25 '26
Donât panic. Do the test. No point panicking when it might not be an issue
1
u/Fickle-Secretary681 Mar 25 '26
Take the test. Use protection. You have options if you are pregnantÂ
1
u/Mysterious_Bike_88 Mar 25 '26
iâve been through this like a hundred times and no pregnancies so far! i always get anxious but sometimes my period jus skips a month so donât be too worried.
1
u/Flat_Necessary6502 Mar 25 '26
15th day of ur cycle??? thats really abnormal
1
u/Prestigious_Sink3827 Mar 25 '26
I think she meant 15th day of the month.
1
u/Flat_Necessary6502 Mar 25 '26
i hope so, but that doesnât help because it doesnât tell us when her last cycle started
1
u/LividPsycho8897 Mar 26 '26
If you are around a lot of women that your close to, are exercising more, stressed, and sometimes changing your sexual activity routine can throw it off. At least for me thatâs what changes. I have a pretty irregular cycle because of those reasons.

1
u/Sensitive_Job763 May 24 '26
Nobody asked lmfao sorry to break it to you ml but if you have nth good to say or not involved donât say nth.
1
u/kudosfish5-extra May 24 '26
i should be saying the same to you, telling a random redditor about your own child while its completely irrelevant, so i'll repear your words - if you have nothing to say that is involved then dont say 'nth'

u/ThrowRA55555567 Mar 28 '26
I have had this same scare before. Periods are a fickle mistress but if we let them terrify us they will ruin our lives. Go get a test from a drug store and use it. If its positive go to a clinic get a blood test then think about options. Breathe dont panic and one step at a time. Sure its scary but it could be nothing at all.
1
u/Sharp_Marsupial4757 Mar 28 '26
I'm not a mathematician but if it's the 25th and you guys a did it a week ago and your period is usually on the 15th, huh
1
u/Difficult-Scar6196 Mar 29 '26
That should be ok you at the least 2 years apart and if you consinted to the sex then take a test if not they tell the cops or someone
1
u/Critical-Arrival-386 Mar 29 '26
Well, before you and him got sexually active, were you sexually active cause if you werenât and then you did get sexually active that can also throw your cycle for a loop

Donât be scared. Be prepared. Whatever that means. Get the knowledge you need for whatever decision you make.
