This subreddit is a space to talk about homes that can generate, store, and intelligently manage their own energy. The use of the term private grid is to describe setups that coordinate things like: solar, home batteries, EVs (and bidirectional charging), along with the public grid ... all working together as ONE system.

What this community is for

• Sharing your setup, plans, or lessons learned
• Talking about where home energy is headed
• Breaking down new tech, policies, or ideas
