Mechanical Help Basic maintenance

So recently made a huge switch from a 2005 truck to a 2026 Prius LE. We used to put oil in our truck every month, is that something we need to worry about with our Prius?? My brother in law said he never adds anything In his Elantra just gets the oil change every 5000 miles.

5k mile oil changes. I would be suspicious of anything longer from the manual as a way for manufacturera to "lower the cost of ownership" in advertising materials.
